1. Acceptance of Terms
By using our website at aduguru.us or any related platforms, and by engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Services
The ADU Guru (CSLB #1146040) provides Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) construction, design consultation, permitting guidance, and project management services in Los Angeles and Orange County, California. All construction services are performed under a valid California Contractor’s State License.
3. SMS and Text Message Communications
By providing your phone number to The ADU Guru, you consent to receive SMS/MMS messages related to your inquiry, your project, scheduling, reminders, and customer support. You are not required to consent to receive text messages as a condition of purchase.
What you may receive:
• Follow-up messages regarding your ADU inquiry
• Appointment reminders and scheduling confirmations
• Project status updates and milestone notifications
• Links to your client portal, proposals, and project documents
• Links to download The ADU Guru client app
• Customer care and support messages
• Occasional promotional or educational content (only if you opted in)
Message frequency: Varies based on your interaction with us and your active project status.
Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.
To opt out: Reply STOP to any text message at any time. You may receive one final confirmation message after opting out. For help, reply HELP.
We use Twilio as our SMS service provider. Your phone number and message content may be processed by Twilio and mobile carriers solely for delivery purposes. We do not sell your phone number or messaging data.
4. Proposals and Estimates
All proposals, estimates, and bids provided by The ADU Guru are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Proposal pricing is based on the scope of work described and may be subject to change if site conditions, material costs, or project requirements differ from those assumed at time of proposal.
A signed contract and deposit are required to initiate work. Proposal acceptance does not constitute a binding contract until both parties have signed a written construction agreement.
5. Payment Terms
Payment schedules are outlined in the signed construction contract. Milestone-based payments are due upon completion of each designated phase. Late payments may result in work stoppages and may be subject to applicable interest as permitted by California law.
6. Client Portal and Digital Documents
The ADU Guru provides clients with access to a secure online portal for reviewing proposals, signing documents electronically, tracking project progress, and communicating with our team. Electronic signatures executed through our portal are legally binding under the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN) and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA).
Links to your portal and documents may be sent via SMS or email. Keep your login credentials confidential and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
7. Permits and Regulatory Compliance
The ADU Guru assists clients with the permit application process; however, permit approval is ultimately determined by the applicable city or county authority. We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party agencies, changes in zoning regulations, or title/HOA restrictions not disclosed prior to contract execution.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, The ADU Guru shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website, services, or communications. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, client portal, and marketing materials — including text, images, proposals, and designs — is the property of Solmana, DBA The ADU Guru, and may not be reproduced or distributed without written permission.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
